I call up the editor and write my programs in Kipware. There is a number of videos that you get access to, once you buy the product. I'm not quite ready to go to a full blown system yet like E2. A recognized apprenticeship program may be associated with these occupations. Doesn't appear to be able to convert jipware from a quote to a work order, just appears to handle the "business" end BOM, invioce, etc.

For the most part it is a programming package. Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material - Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Thanks for any help! Modify cutting programs to account for problems encountered during operation and save modified programs.

I really need to set some time aside to practice with it more. I use it now exclusively for editing but holy cow, it would have cut my understanding and writing code learning curve time way down.

Overall, I'd say "go for it" but try and make sure you can export any database tables if you decide in the future to kipwqre to E2 or similar. I would think there are many many small shops like ours that would have a use for a smaller scale software. I tried out the demo for the lathe, and ordered it. Thank you gentlemen for the info. I wish there were more u-tube videos on the drawing portion. It seems quite simple to use, and will be a great help in learning to hand code I think. You know your set-up, machines, cycle times, tooling, etc.

I'm not quite ready to go to a full blown system yet like E2. I have done a couple of basic programs, but kippware not gone to the stage of proving then thru Kipware TP i will get to that soon. I just don't get why a good estimating package can't interface with a good CAM package.
Some operations were excellent, others were not, and there was not the ability to tweak. Gauges or inspection fixtures - drop indicators; Automatic measuring equipment; Bore gauges; Dial indicators; Pin gauges.
But if you're lacking the knowledge in how to do this, yeah, just buy a database application. Job Listings Assistive Technology.
